Ballerina Dancing on Pointe

Twelfth scale ballerina dancing on pointe.

I based this dancer on the story of Ondine the water nymph.

My ballerina is made mainly from polymer clay, although she does have some soft areas on the torso so you can move her legs and arms slightly. She has a wire set into one of her legs so that she can appear to balance.

Her dress is made of white bridal netting and lace decorated with silver beads. She has tiny wings of wired lace and ribbon low on her back. Her shoes are made of polymer clay and painted, although she has real crossover

ribbon ties at her ankles.

Her hair is dark chestnut mohair

swept up into a bun.
