….A figure with a winter theme….. she is twelfth-scale, about 6” tall (15cm approx) on a 6” square base and is one from a series of 4 figures made to
represent the Four Seasons. Her arms are outstretched and she steps out pointing her toe. Her pose
was inspired partly by the Spirit of Ecstasy mascot from the bonnet of Rolls
Royce cars! Her dress is made of painted and embellished organza with wires, beads and iridescent glazes to
create a crisp and frosty feel. She
has a wired corset laced at the back, where she is also decorated with
silvery snowflakes and transparent icicles. Her hair is auburn red and she wears a tiara of silvery wire and
crystal beads. The base continues the theme and is decorated in matching fabrics wire
and larger beads. |

“Snow” Walter de la Mere No breath of wind No gleam of sun... Still the white
snow Whirls softly down. Twig and bough And blade and thorn All in an icy Quiet, forlorn. Whispering,
rustling, Through the air On sill and stone, Roof, everywhere, It heaps its
powdery Crystal flakes, Of every tree A mountain makes; ‘Til pale and faint At shut of day Stoops from the
West One wint’ry ray, And, feathered in
fire Where ghosts the
moon, A robin shrills His lonely tune. |
